Whooshy Monday

OK kids are exhausting. Seriously. Exhausting. Well I breathed my way through what I thought would be a panic inducing morning of driving with my "boss?" a.k.a the kids mom sitting right next to me while wearing boots.

Let me clarify. I don't drive with shoes on, with new people or kids. I did all three today. And I didn't die. Neither of panic nor moose nor ice.

In fact the roads were the clearest I have ever seen. The sky, not so much, I think the sun peeked out for all of an hour or so.

We dropped M off first and then took A to school who had been off the past week. I felt like a real adult and such. Dropping kids off and running errands in the middle of the morning on a weekday no less. I even navigated shortcuts. :) I had keys made, pictures printed off and went to Beemun's to get some art supplies. I was going to tackle the giant canvas but found a small water-coloring journal that seemed easier to tackle. Photos of that attempt to come soon.

Let's see I broke the rules at pre-school and tracked water through the one room school. Kids here play in the snow as cold as 0 degrees. Today was a balmy 13ish degrees, no wind though which was nice.

We whooshed from school and went to the local high school for swim lessons where we then whooshed to the library to return books. I attempted to apply for a library card but my futile attempt to remember the new address was trumped when I forgot my mailing address which is totally different. Alas. We did have a nice time reading books.

Pick up from school, whooshed home, rushed a snack. Whooshed off to karate.

Being a psych major and/or people watcher and/or being good at reading vibes makes for sitting in a small waiting room verrry interesting. Mom's who reveal waaayyy too much for just having met me. Seriously I don't need to know your birthing stories, I'm really OK not knowing. OK, you're gonna share...great....

Home for moose (not for me) for dinner a giant salad and veggie burger (yes!) and general collapsing.

Whoosh goes my energy...

(exploring Beemun's was my new thing to try today)
